Breakdown Cover

Roadside Assistance

All our policies provide up to one hours roadside assistance where the breakdown or accident occurs more than one mile from home. Your Assistance Team will arrange and pay for a Breakdown Operator to come out and try and get your vehicle back on the road again. Our average call out time is 40 minutes.

Local Recovery

If the Breakdown Operator cannot get you vehicle going at the scene of the breakdown or accident within one hour, your Assistance Team will arrange and pay for it to be taken to a local garage, normally within 15 miles. We won't forget the driver and your passengers either!

Key Cover

Key Cover protects both your vehicle and house keys against the cost of replacement up to £350 when they are lost or stolen in the UK. We will also pay up to £30 towards the call out charge if your vehicle keys are locked in your vehicle or break in the lock.

National Recovery

Nationwide Recovery Service
If the Breakdown Operator cannot get you vehicle going at the scene of the breakdown or accident within one hour, nor at a local garage the same day, your Assistance Team will choose, arrange and pay for one of the following:

• UK Vehicle Recovery,
  A Recovery Operator to take your vehicle, driver and passengers to your intended destination, or to your home, and then if requested and in the same journey, on to a local garage within 15 miles; or
   
• Overnight Accommodation,
  Bed and Breakfast expenses for one night for the driver and passengers (Limited to £40 per person up to £160). or;
   
• 24 Hour Car Hire
  24 hours car hire (UK only) up to 1100cc.

Emergency Driver
If the driver is incapacitated due to injury or illness and there is no other driver in the group, your Assistance Team will provide and pay for a driver.

Home Start

If you breakdown or have an accident at, or within one mile, of your home, your Assistance Team will arrange and pay for a Breakdown Operator to attend the breakdown for up to one hour. If your vehicle can't be fixed we will arrange and pay for it to be taken to a garage within 15 miles along with the driver and passengers.

European Breakdown Cover

European Breakdown ccover for return trips between your home and your destination in Europe*. Cover is limited to 31 days per individual trip and no more than 90 days in total over the period of cover.
